Oolong Origin: Hsinchu and Miaoli, Taiwan

Oriental Beauty (Dongfang Meiren) is a heavily oxidised oolong. Small insects, leafhoppers, bite the leaf, which makes the plant produce sweet aromas.

Honey-sweet and fruity, with notes of muscat grape and ripe peach.

How to brew it

Use 3 grams per 250 ml of water at 85–90°C and steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

Goes well with

Lovely with fruity desserts and soft cheeses.
